New territory

Imagine you're walking in the woods. In the shadows of pine trees, surrounded by a soft breeze, rays of sunlight filter through the branches and the needles. Sometimes you look up and see a blue sky with healthy, chubby clouds. You walk and walk, and then quite unexpectedly reach a clearing.

Goethe once said, "one hears only what one understands." There's so much information out there, cries of discovery, love, joy, pain - everybody is telling a story. In this clearing, you start listening to more voices, hearing them, and you understand them. Even the ones you've heard before, they sound fuller now, they mean more. There are levels of understanding, and you think you understand them a notch better. Maybe not completely, but better.

There are still so many voices that escape you, and then there are those you think you understand but haven't yet. One only finds out one hasn't understood something the moment one understands it better. You keep walking and you'll find out.

i'm so tired of playing,
playing with this bow and arrow,
gonna give my heart away,
leave it to the other girls to play,
for i've been a temptress too long.

hmm just,
give me a reason to love you,
give me a reason to be,
a woman,
i just wanna be a woman.

from this time, unchained,
we’re all looking at a different picture,
through this new frame of mind,
a thousand flowers could bloom-
move over, and give us some room.

yeah,
give me a reason to love you,
give me a reason to be,
a woman,
i just want to be a woman.

so don't you stop, being a man,
just take a little look from our side when you can,
sow a little tenderness,
no matter if you cry.

give me a reason to love you,
give me a reason to be,
a woman,
it's all i wanna be is all woman.

for this is the beginning of forever and ever,
it's time to move over ,
so i want to be.

i'm so tired of playing,
playing with this bow and arrow,
gonna give my heart away,
leave it to the other girls to play.
for i've been a temptress too long.

hmm just,
give me a reason to love you.
